In the Mekong Delta (http://www.worldwildlife.org/who/media/press/2008/WWFPresitem10990.html)

that might be the coolest rabbit I've ever seen.

I saw this article this morning and was going to post it but I ran out of time. So super cool. That green pit viper is really awesome, and the millipede is cool too. For some reason it excretes cyanides.

I read it yesterday on yahoo news...
pretty amazing, how long before we go and do something stupid and extinct these?

That's cool. This month's National Geographic magazine has an articles about species on the brink of extinction. The picture of the last Dusky sparrow is a bit depressing. It's good to know that although there are things on this earth that we'll never see again, there are also things that we haven't seen yet.

What does newly discovered mean?
Never been seen before by any human or the western world didn't have knowledge of them?

It goes to show that the earth is a lot more vibrant than we know. They talk about global warming on one day and record low temperatures the next day! They do not know one thing from another. Its such a scam.

hopefully longer then it's taking the bark beetles to kill off northern canada's forests.
Although ultimately, we humans are indirectly responsible for that as well

I'm guessing the former as I think the article said they've been working with local communities over the past 10 yrs.. who knows?!

I hope you're joking?!
Texas, SC, Florida: they're all experiencing record low-temperatures and all a part of Global Warming.

It's just like these fucking VC species to be hiding out in the jungle all this time, just hoping to pick one of us off from the treeline. Someone should call in a fucking airstrike and we should Napalm their asses right into extinction. Fuck these Charlie rabbits!

What I meant was that it is Ironic that all these claims of global warming, meanwhile, most of the country is experiencing cooler weather. It is opposite to what anyone would expect. Look on Yahoo top news. They say that huge amounts of ice are melting in the arctic, while record lows are being reported elsewhere. Its all BS as far as I am concerned. I am with Anthony on this.

Anthony is a moron.

The cooling is a result of the warming. It's nature trying to find the balance. Did you ever see The Day After Tomorrow? It's the global weather pattern being adversely affected.

???

the overall, average temp of the earth is increasing, leading to a more turbulent atmosphere (imagine heating up a lava lamp), thus resulting in, simplistically, higher highs and in some places lower lows, and general environmental change for all.

In the scheme of things, life has evolved with the capacity to adapt to changing environments. Dont worry about this stuff too much. This story just shows you that there is more life than we know and things constantly go extinct or evolve. DNA has been around a long long time and it is very tough and resilient. No fear.

1,000 new species found and they don't include the lockness monster, jersey devil, bigfoot, and what not. But those new ones found are pretty cool too. Who gets to name the new species when found?

These logo-stealing douchebags can go fuck themselves for making us live with the much-inferior "WWE" logo.

Plus, if you look at the bottom left part of the page, you'll see that they're just mocking "Money in the Bank."

Cool new animals, though.

Someone cross check this thread (http://ronfez.net/forums/showthread.php?t=75372) against the WWF's list

Inside everyone of these VC species is an American species trying to get out.

I literally want every amphibian and lizard on that site.
The gecko is amazing and looks like it would kill my old gecko, or the Chinese water Dragon I have now. The Gumprecht's green pitviper may be the coolest snake I have ever seen.
We need to start breeding them. I would be happy to let them all run around my place. I'll turn the heat up, and let other animals loose for them to eat. They'll love it.

All except the disgusting bat. Bats are seriously the only thing on the fucking planet I am afraid of.

This thing looks like the Vietnamese answer to the Chupacabra. What they don't show is the pile of almost extinct goat bones and little, black pajama pants underneath it.

Is that really your source? A movie where a guy walked from Philadelphia to New York in -80 weather. This may be the most ridiculous post in the history of this board.

FYI- Aliens are coming. Jeff Goldbloom told me today that aliens are using our satelites against us.
