So, a couple of weeks ago I was on my way to work when I got pulled over for my muffler that was hanging a little bit. Not dragging on the ground hanging, just a little askew hanging.
I give the trooper my drivers license, registration and insurance card expecting to get a warning and no big deal. He comes back to the car and lets me know my license is suspended for outstanding tickets. He lets me know that he is going to take me to the small village that the tickets were issued in and let the magistrate decide the course of action. I am thinking no big deal, I can just pay the tickets and move on. When I get to the magistrates office, he decides to send me to the county public safety building where I was fingerprinted, had a mug shot taken and held in a booger smeared holding cell until I was able to post a five hundred dollar bail.
One of the tickets was a speeding ticket and the other was a failure to obey a traffic control device which would have probably totalled a couple of hundred bucks if I was not a retard and had paid them on time. Now I am facing an additional 4 tickets issued by the trooper that pulled me over, one of them being aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, for which the maximum penalty is thirty days in jail. Either way, I am now looking at probably over a grand in tickets and the possibilty of going to jail over what basically comes down to an unpaid bill.
My life is now seemingly spiralling down the drain at this point. I have no way to get back and forth to work because I live in the country where there is no public transportation and I work thirty miles from where I live. My girlfriend is probably going to dump me because I am not going to have any cash for anything Christmas related and my friends are getting tired of me begging them for a ride to work and my parents think I am a piece of shit for having to bail me out of jail.
Long Decemberis right Ronnie B.
