I keep hearing the commercial for the XM lifetime subscription. Has anyone called to find out the specs of the deal?

just saw the email with it and was wondering myself, it does state it only includes the life time of 3 xm players, so if it breaks or you upgrade too often its probably not much of a deal

I've heard those commercials too. Haven't called though. I'm curious to know how much it is, but you'd have to be insane to get a lifetime sub from a company that's on the verge of bankruptcy.

Yea sounds like a more expensive 6 month sub

I saw somewhere that it was $399. It would be a great deal if the company was in better financial shape.

just don't lose or break your receiver, or hope it doesn't get phased out.

I think it is $499 if you add the BEST OF SIRIUS to it.

It just so happens that I did call today. For the Basic XM package it is $399 for a lifetime subscription for each receiver. I decided not to do it because 1) as you mentioned hopefully the company will be around but who knows 2) It will take 3 years before you start seeing any savings 3) Even though you pay significantly less for another receiver in a family package they want another $399 to cover each receiver. It just wasn't an investment that I was comfortable making right now.
