I would guess this would have been the mythical 100% one-sided poll. We're talking the short cartoons, right? Who in their right mind would pick Disney over Warner?

Def Warner Brothers.....you would never see half the racist shit that you could find in some of the funniest Bugs/Daffy/Foghorn Leghorn cartoons.

Disney is to Backstreet Boys

as

WB is to Guns n Roses.

well if ya break it down by tv channels its a pretty resounding victory for disney

smart people dont watch tv
little kids do
and they have espn, disney and abc family

disney has all the property rights and still has that ridiculous deal with pixar, which is just like walking away with a billion dollars to do basically what fed ex could do for 250 bucks

of course i didnt answer the poll this way but whatever

Using this logic, I'm going to go with the ACME company. There's a company that's into everything from rocket powered roller skates to exploding birdseed to grocery stores.

WB edges out Disney for me. I LOVE the WB shorts and movies, but I also like the oldschool Disney stuff to. If there were WB stores I'd have a bugs Yankees hat instead of a Mickey one. Do they have bugs Yankees hats online? I may have to check.

The comedic timing in "Rabbit Seasoning" alone is better than 80 percent of the sitcoms in tv history.

is there a difference between Looney Tunes and Merry Melodies?

I looked it up, as it's a question I'm very interested in. I found this.
http://www.straightdope.com/columns/read/1057/whats-the-difference-between-a-looney-tune-and-a-merrie-melody
At the outset, the two series were made under separate agreements between Warner Brothers and producer Leon Schlesinger using different production teams. The Looney Tunes series, created by Hugh Harman and Rudolph Ising, was introduced in 1930. A blatant rip-off of Disney's Silly Symphonies series, each Looney Tune was required to have one full chorus from a song from a Warner feature film. The cartoons typically were run prior to the main feature at theaters, and the idea was that they would promote WB product. (Among other things, the company had various music-publishing concerns.) The schedule called for a new cartoon approximately once a month.

The Tunes were immediately popular, and the following year Warner commissioned Schlesinger to produce a sister series called Merrie Melodies, which also appeared monthly. (The volume of cartoons fluctuated in later years, but the two series were always produced in roughly equal numbers.) At this point Harman and Ising divided responsibilities, with Harman in charge of Looney Tunes and Ising handling the Melodies. Merrie Melodies also featured Warner songs, but where Tunes had regular characters, Melodies for the most part were one-shots, without continuing characters. Another difference was that Melodies were shot in color starting in 1934, while Tunes stayed black and white.

Warner Bros for the win. No fucking contest.

WB! Always. When I was a kid because it was more accessible or at least it was on TV more. And now because WB has actual humor in it. Humor for adults. Disney was always just kinda cute.

I took Disney cause without them none of the other stuff happens, but I think its apples and oranges. The most famous cartoon of modern times is a Mickey cartoon too,Plane Crazy, it was the first sound cartoon.
Having said that, I admit to loving Bugs and most of what WB have done. I dont think it would have been a good thing to have missed out on either company.
Someone should have mentioned the Fleischers tho. I love some of that rotoscoped Popeye!
