Son, a man isn't measured by the length of his drives, rather he is measured by the number of major championships he has won. I've got 18 major championships which is more than anyone.
Drive away pretty boy!

If I need to describe something in the range of 35-40 inches, I'll just say 3 feet.
Yards are useless.

It's pretty useful when you can run 40 of them in under 4.5 seconds

Especially since Europe colonized most of the world at one point. Hell India and Pakistan won independence in the 1960's I think.

Although I don't agree with the fruity characterization of the metric system.
I enjoy a base ten system any day.
If you like measuring how many rods you get to a hogshead - that's your business.

Well, to be fair, in his and my line of work, 60% of the year is in yards. The real trick is converting times back and forth. Adjusting for altitude is a whole other pain in the ass.

India gained independence from Britain in 1947, and in the same year Pakistan broke away from India.

get this: a mile is a base 10 measurement. I explained this in another post somewhere, but the word "mile" is Latin for 1000, and was pronounced "me-lay." it means 1000 paces, a pace being two full strides. using the same standard as the foot, 1000 paces works out to 5280 feet.
