Should anal penetration be involved when wiping after a poop?

Been considering this for a while now so I guess it's time to ask. When wiping after a poop is it proper to penetrate the anus with the toilet paper/wet wipe and a finger to properly wipe the inner rim, or, should only the outside be cleaned?

I have asked around a little bit and so far people have said not to mix pleasure with work but should the inside be cleaned to properly finish a bowel movement?
