It's one of those movies, along with The Searchers and True Grit, that put a lie to the notion that John Wayne was not a good actor.

The Quiet Man is one of my all-time favorites! My ex-wife took my DVD when she left and I still haven't gotten around to replacing it.

I really like the Quiet Man, but I wouldn't argue the premise that Wayne was not a good actor.
