Puttting mugs away from the dishwasher I realized that we put our glasses away bottoms up and I was wondering if this is the common mode ?
I think as a kid we put them away rightside up.

What do you do?

glasses and mugs go into the cupboards bottom up. Wine glasses are standing right side up.

you're all animals putting the rims of your glasses down on your cupboard. would you climb up there and lick your cupboard, because that's what you're doing. we dry ours upside down, but ya gotta put them away right-side-up.

I usually lick the cupboard right before I put the glasses in there.

Exactly. I clean my glasses every day. I don't, on the other hand, clean my cupboard shelves every day. So then I should take my freshly washed glasses and place them rim side down on my cupboard shelves? I think not, my filthy friends. My dishwasher has a dry cycle that works quite nicely, not to mention I run my dishwasher at night, and take the dishes out in the morning so residual water is never an issue. Put grip liner in your cupboard, clean your cupboard shelves regularly, but for the love of God don't put the glasses rim side down.

i place my mugs and cups rim down and always wash them before i use them.

(my house had a HUGE rodent and insect problem when i was younger, so we did this to keep them out and make sure we always had a clean cup. all of our food items were placed in plastic containers for this reason as well. im so glad we moved outta that neighborhood)

cupboard space is tight in my current digs, so the mugs are stacked, bottoms down, so i guess that's cowgirl.

pint glasses and tumblers are stacked, bottoms up, like a lemonparty.

I saw britney last posted here and had to see ... and yeah it was a little sexy.

Right side up. There's method to this though. The rim can't touch the filthy cabinet floor. I put my mouth to that.
