The day after x-mas I smashed my finger between two steel gates. Being friday afternoon I would have had to go to the emergncy room to have it looked at and it didn't look to bad at that point. I had plans for deer untin over the weekend as well so I said fuck it.

I did go to the doctor on monday, and it is broken. The PA also thought it would be fun to slice it open behind the nail and squeeze on it a bit. Of course she did me the courtesy of jamming a syringe in it first that felt like it came out my elbow. I was in a full out sweat when she was done and it still hurt like a MF'er. Enjoy my pain.

I slammed my finger really hard last spring. I didn't pop a hole and drain it like everyone said to, mostly because it hurt like hell. It took about 3 months but the dead nail fell off and now it looks mostly normal. Weird how fingernails work.

Neither did I and I should have.

I'm guessing it will come off eventually. Right now the nail is raised from to swelling that is still underneath.

Don't worry it's not that painful.. I couldn't go anywhere near it with a needle when it happened. It all worked out fine. It stopped really hurting about a month later.
