Say it again: No home field advantage, pretty even game.

I think that if the Eagles can contain the run, and beat the shit out of Manning they will be ok. The Eagles backs have been playing like monsters recently, and their outside defense has been huge.

The Eagles offense has to show up though.

Should be a classic smash mouth rought game for both teams.

Gotta go Birds, with the momentum and all.

I'll say this; I honestly don't believe the Eagles will win. I hate to say it, and I hope I am wrong, but my head says they will not win.
but if I am wrong, and they do manage to beat the giants, then they will go on to win the super bowl and Philadelphia will host its second championship parade in 4 months.

After the Giants lost their last playoff game to the Panthers at the Meadowlands, I don't trust them. Sure they won the Superbowl last year, but there's more pressure for them to win than the Eagles. The Eagles are playing with house money. The Giants are going to miss Burress during this play-off run.

As a man with no dog in this fight....I'll say that momentum totally looks to be on the Eagles side.

The Giants by the numbers should crush, but I don't buy it. They've not been good since the "Gun in the Sweatpants" incident...and could be on the run. And the Eagles looked to be dead at midseason, yet old Ton-of-Guts Reid seems to put them in the playoffs every year.

If Jimmy Johnson comes up with a good scheme, I think the Eagles can win this thing outright. Either way, I would completely take the Eagles + the points.

(Unless Hippos declares the Eagles, then all bets are off.)

Prior and Wood shared the cover in 2003, and we all know how that went from there.

Then there was the "the Cubs WILL win the WS" in 2004, and they had a massive implosion in the last week with one of the best teams they've ever had.

Nothing until they signed Soriano and Sori was on the cover during spring training. He goes from being a guy who barely missed any time to injury to having major DL time both of his years with the Cubs.

Then they put Fukudome on the cover ater his hot start ad hi year goes to shit.

Then at the end of 2008 they put out the "the party is just getting started" cover and, well, you know.

Sure, there's sound reasoning against the SI jinx...but I hate whenever my teams and players end up on the cover.

In all honesty, there were seasons that I didn't go to any games. And a lot of times I get the shit teams no one wants to see. So I haven't been to any Cowboys games but I've got wins against the Browns and Cardinals under my belt for example. The first year I went was when they went on to win the Super Bowl in 87. I did not go at all last year. I have no way of knowing exactly how many games its been. A good guesstimate would be closer to twenty and yes never a loss. Its this thing that we joke about and the friend who gets me the tickets jokes how he wishes I could go to every game.

For anyone interested the midday show from WIP are taking on some guys from the FAN tomorrow from 10-3 on both stations.

Its Anthony Gargano, Glen Macnow and Ike Reese against 2 douchebags and Carl Banks.

Should be some interesting radio.

The FAN guys called into the show yesterday and it got a little heated because they had been taking personal shots at Macnow and Gargano on their own show. So the show today was a liittle more subdued do to the fact that after that call yesterday they got a little scared and had their PD call WIP's PD to make sure nothing would happen today. They were even talking about bringing bodyguards to Chickie's & Pete's.

holy shit. I was wrong. I am beyond thrilled to have been wrong. I said I didn't think the eagles would win today, but if I were proved wrong and the eagles did win, that they would win the superbowl.
we'll see about the second half of that.
but coughlin was out-coached. he managed the clock very poorly in the second half, especially when he burned a timeout challenging that spot, and then burning another timeout with about 5 minutes left in the fourth.
oh well. onward to Arizona.
