I know that I'm asking a lot here, but I was watching Dazed and Confused last night and could of sworn that there was a part in the movie that wasn't there.

There is a part of this movie where these kids (13-15 yrs old maybe) go to this crazy old Vietnam vets house for either beer or pot or something, but for the life of me, I can't remember the movie it's from (I could have sworn that it was Dazed but it's not)

I know that I'm not giving you guys a lot to go on, but any clue would help. It's driving me friggin' nuts!

What you're describing sounds like Rivers Edge with Dennis Hopper (I believe) as the character you're talking about.

now im in the mood to watch it. I wanted to call up the show today and recommend it for "definitive 80s teen movie" but its not a cliched teen 80s movie. Its dark and creepy and disturbing and Crispin Glover has never been better (and Keanu Reeves is the same as he always is!). The guy who played Jay Leno in the "Late Shift" movie (Daniel Roebuck) is a creepy murderer. Its a great movie

I remember reading about it when it first came out. Crispin Glover's performance was so unhinged that they added in a line or two about him being on speed as a way of explanation for the way he acted.

Great movie. I probably haven't seen it since it came out. For some reason one thing I do remember was that Crispin Glover's character was always listening to Slayer in his car.

that car was awesome too, wasnt it a vw beetle all souped up or something? hehe

yeah that is definitely the movie in question, just saw half of it a year or so ago, i think it holds up ok. well as good as any movie with keanu reeves in it can hold up...

really? Cuz its a pretty important scene in the movie that hes driving on speed and then passes out in his car

i can't remember the movie that much cuz i havent seen it in a few years but that kinda sticks out
