01/07/2008 Audible Show

Is everyone else's audible download missing the last segment of the show? I did a double take when I saw that the length of today's show was less than two hours. It seems to go to break then you get the "Audible hopes you enjoyed the show" message.

I talked to Audible, They are looking to see if there is another version. if there is it will be 24 - 48 hours before it is up.

I expect this stuff to happen with my O&A audible file but this is the first time I can think of Ron and Fez being messed up.

My 1/7/09 audible is still not fixed. Also, there's no show for 1/8/09 yet. I'm watching Fez staying silent on live webcam and watching to Dave, Earl, Scruffy, Pepper, and Mooch talk about football at 11:30pm, so I don't know what exactly is going on today.

Does anyone know who from the show is in charge of the audible feed?

I always blame Earl when there's a problem with the Audible show. I travel on Thursdays and I can't tell you how many times I've sat in the the airport lounge at 6:00, hoping the show would be made available in time for me to download before my flight, and cursing Earl when it doesn't.

Audible has been a bit annoying recently, they didnt have that christmas show up for a while and sent me some crazy email that was obviously a template with some keywords from what I said sprinkled throughout it.

Now the 1/7/2009 show and 1/8/2009 having problems is now just making me want to get the radio and record them myself.

Audible fucks up ALOT more often than you think. I will talk to them when someone gets there:wallbash:, and I will post any info I get.

They've only messed up a couple times over the past year. They are usually pretty quick to correct it. This has been the longest delay by far, but cut 'em some slack a little. The price for the service is absolutely outstanding, and don't forget, this is all Earl's fault as far as we know.

i've had opie & anthony on audible since 2007, and ron & fez since they started on audible, screw ups have been pretty infrequent, what pisses me off the most is the best of, why can't they broadcast the xm versions of best of instead of just playing an audible show from the archives

Back when the Thanksgiving show didn't show up on Audible, I emailed ronandfez@aol.com about it and got a response from Earl. He said that the reason that show wasn't posted was that everyone at Audible was on vacation on the day that the show aired, and that audio can't be posted until after it has aired.

I was willing to believe that at the time, but as far as I know, there aren't any holidays on January 8th.

Also, I couldn't agree more about the "best of" thing. It really sucked to spend a whole week listening to Ron and the guys discuss ideas for "best of" shows, and then get a week of archive shows.

Has anyone ever been given an explanation of WHY they can't upload the "best of" shows?

And wasn't the Christmas Day show a pre-recorded program meant to air like a live show?

Why the hell couldn't they upload that?

And yeah, still no fix for 1/7, and the 1/8 show hasn't been uploaded yet.

Is this happening so that I have to buy a portable XM radio and record the show while I am at work? I think it is a conspiracy to move outdated, mislabeled hardware after the merger.

I just called Audible and they said that the 1/7/2008 was given to them short and 1/8/2008 hasn't been given to them yet. They just upload what they are given.

So they are waiting to receive the show from the "distributor" before they can put anything up.

I guess the only person we can really blame is ourselves...for putting any trust in Earl to do something correct and on time.

I'm pretty sure it's earl because Pitzy used to do it and the day after he left Earl downloaded the segments in reverse. The Thanksgiving show wasn't available until the Monday after and they never delivered the Christmas episode.

I want some weekend listening! It's killing me right now. I guess I have a bit of the Christmas show to listen to, but that won't be enough, I'm going to be driving way more than what I have left.

Incomplete 1/7/09 show, no 1/8/09 show, and now no Friday 1/9/09 show.

I'm missing the entire silent Fez and fainting goat saga. And from what I gather, Audible is not receiving the data from the Ron and Fez show.

I'd still like to know who from R&F is in charge - not to just to point fingers, but so I know who I might notify when we experience problems like this. I can only assume that the "executive producer" is on this, and lord knows he's got other things to worry about right now...

Thanks Buddy. I subscribe in iTunes, so my 1/7/09 show never showed up properly, and probably never will. But I did go to the Audible site and I'm downloading the full show.

This is what Audible sent me when I contacted them about the missing shows

"Dear Phild,

Thank you for contacting Audible.

In response to your email, I do apologize for the inconveniences you have experienced but we are currently looking into the issue with the Ron & Fez subscription. We have not received any new updates since January 7th and the 7th issue is not complete. We are aware of this issue and have contacted the publishers to get the latest issues and the full 7th issue as well. Once we have them, we will go ahead and automatically apply them to your online library"

FYI the 1/9/09 show is now the complete show on audible. Still no midnight special show, but doubt we will get it on there.

Friday nights replay was all messed up as well. Just listened to it at work today and was very dissapointed. Maybe Earl fainted on the control panel?
