I would enjoy an "Earl" character, but not when it is the true character of the EP. If "Befuddlingly Vague Earl" was a bit like the "Midnight Rider" I would like it. Unfortunately, it is not a bit. It brings the show to a halt.
Ron & Fez are great without nothing but chairs and a mic, but a real EP could make the show better; production, guests, organization, training, and every other EP responsibility.

I love Stunt Brain. To me he does what a EP should do, listen, assist the hosts ASAP, and chimes in when call on or needed. He isn't a 3rd mic, doesn't want to be a host, and isn't a Bear or Fainting goat.

That makes him the best producer on either side IMO.

I agree that Stunt Brain is the best EP NY radio listeners have heard in a long time, including Stern's, all of O&A's other producers, and all of R&F's producers.
I don't like Stunt Brain's personality, but as an EP that is a non-issue. He seems to do his job well. Which isn't being a train wreck that forces the talent to make jokes about how shitty their show is running.
