2001: A Space Odyssey was the one film I felt required one to be in an "altered state" in order to get anything out of ... either that or pass out after the apes smashing the bones and wake up just in time to see Dave & HAL.

The Graduate doesn't really hold up after a few decades. And I think I was too young to catch most of the implications of the story when I saw it.

The Godfather, on the other hand, holds up to multiple watchings on multiple occasions and is pretty much timeless. You can get different things out of it depending on when in your life you "hear" the story. (Except the 3rd one. It's not very good.)

Its the oddest thing the only thing damaged was the license plate got a little mangled. And it was twice. I agree its odd but its saved my insurance big time. The other two deer made up for the damage though.
