I was just watching this one, made me miss how I used to get excited to watch Raw.

I always felt this was the Shark jump for WWE. I can't remember a debut after this that ever topped this as far as excitement, great build up, and the POP the crowd had for this. It's still awesome to watch to this day.

Greatest debut ever. The timing, the pyro, the music, the titan tron, the mic work. I think I've watched this more than anything.

Those late 90's, and the first couple of years in the '00 were great times to be a wrestling fan.

I like your style. Fuck the new threads. It really depends on weight class I guess. I'd say currently ted dibiase jr and cody rhodes are both good wrestler and fairly good charisma/mic wise and they both are just jobbing for the sake of randy orton. You could go as far back as the played out owen hart, but its been said and done before. Hopefully Vince gives Christian a good push because edge/christian will be a great feud or alliance either way. MVP needs to atleast win some matches because he looks like a jobber. All time is hard. People have made arguments for a lot of people that deserved it. I think Scott Hall would have made a good heel champion in wwe. I don't know. Its tought to get an all time perspective. maybe brian pillman.

Growing up in North Florida, naturally I had a love for wrestling, like any other little Hayseed. Most of my friends liked the big stars, but I always liked The Mulkey Brothers. They are without a doubt, the Greatest Jobbers of all time!!!!

Thats why I said "Should" be. TNA did great at the MCU Stadium in Coney Island. Should have had victory road there instead of a house show.

Also week after week in the "Impact Zone" the same fans faces actually annoy me. I would be dragged out by security if I ever showed up for a taping.

I cant. I told you that was the first period where I gave up on wrestling. Matt Borne could work but the Doink gimmick was so fucking stupid and silly I couldnt even bring myself to watch it. Lawler was ok but biggest heel heat out there???? That just goes to show you the state of wrestling back then. "I was in a car accident and cant wrestle" wow.

Its a shame but HBK and Bret were the only good thing the WWE had in the early 90s. Razor Ramon and Diesel were good, but those gimmicks screamed kid stuff (even if most of them had no idea what the whole "razor" thing meant). I just dont enjoy wrestling that speaks to the audience as if they are children.

It took the nWo to get me back to watching wrestling, and the Attitude Era to keep me there.

If they jumped the shark anyplace, it was the Invasion angle, which for my money, is the most bungled angle in the entire history of wrestling. It had such massively great potential, but it ended up becoming nothing more than a place to squash Vince's old enemies from other companies, and another tired McMahon family angle.

Second place is the Austin angle, where he came back and was trying to find out who ran him over. God bless them for trying to put Rikishi over, but he was a one move character with zero heel heat, and even trying to bail it out by inserting HHH didn't keep it from dying a horrible death. Another great missed opportunity.

Another big problem was Shane bought WcW and Vince was hated, however The WcW guys were the heals. It did not make alot of sense at all. When they had Paul bring back EcW it looked saved but then they combined them with the EcW guys and decided Stephanie was there leader which also stunk. OF course all this has been discussed way too much.

It could have, and should have been so much better than it was. Basically, it just would have been another NWO angle, this time on a much more massive scale, with three actual separate brands with their own distinct, illustrious histories, and a way to generate lots of heat every way. Maybe there was no way for Vince to get the TV time to get three different organizations on the air, but hell, there are/were already two main WWE shows, and you could have run the other ones on the cheap (which ECW was already famous for putting on a fabulous show that cost about 1.95 to run). And there were a ton of younger WCW guys they could have pushed without having to resort to the "bigger" names. Hell, Booker and DDP were big enough on their own to carry the ball for at least a little while until some younger guys were ready to be pushed (like Helms and Kidman and Mysterio off the top of my head).

I think some of it goes back to that Booker T/Buff Bagwell match that was such an absolute stinker, it pretty much got Bagwell fired from the company, and convinced Mr. McMahon that whole idea wouldn't work.

Just so many wasted and awful stories. The DDP "stalker" angle. The Lance Storm "boring" thing. The whole Austin "what" angle. Eesh.

i punched out a long time ago. My biggest problem is it became way more about that stupid gay stories that didnt involve matches (like the wedding, etc) than it did just the awesome athletic ability that was too the stunts. My favorite wrestlers were the fuckin dudleys and hardys cause they would jump off a latter through 4 tables. thats the shit i wanted to see.

They shoulda just had undertaker vs Shawn Michaels in a chop contest. apparently thats all you needed
