im trying to meet new people, not just chicks to date but anyone to make new friends as well. so far ive been unsuccessful in meeting anyone worth shit in either catagory. ive been hanging out with old friends of mine and their extended group of friends, i get along with them but its just nobody i want to spend time with outside of the group with my friends.

so my question is, where do you go to meet new friends and what do you say to get the conversation started?

I'd say find out who you are and what you like first.

If you're really into something... then you can have a genuine conversation with people who do the same thing and/or meet people and when you reference the subject and they say "oh I'm totally into that too" you can be like "oh ok, well I do it Tuesday nights.. wanna come?"

And then you and she (or he... whatever. And i'm not talking about sex or anything so that's totally feasible) get together and stuff. Whatnot.
