Has anyone else heard of the "Donk" phenomena? Here's some definitions from Urban Dictionary:

Any POS late 80's or early 90's American heap (preferably an Impala) that has large
enough wheels installed until it resembles (and rides and handles like) a Conestoga
wagon. This is done so it sits up high enough so as to be at the same eye level as the
Playas with real juice ridin in their Escalades. Adding in a bad candy paint job and
Wal-Mart sub box completes the transformation.

With no money left over for necessary suspension and brake upgrades, the lifespan is
limited to a few drug runs or the first Police chase, whichever occurs first.

A Donk is a 71-76 chevy Impala or Caprice. That sits on 22 to 26 inch rims the higher
the better. Donks are mostly found Down South.

I like how one of them has some obscene fascination with cheetos.

King Hippo?

Wrong "them."

These are more of a "that one" type of "them."

Imagine one of these being a part of a drive by shooting? It'd be the silliest looking drive by ever.

That's grammatically correct, true, but not the effect I sought.

They had a few around Athens GA when I lived there. I thought it was a trend spilling out from Atlanta, but I don't really know where it started.

Of course, at first I thought it was ridiculous, but then it kinda grew on me. Not that I'd ever do that to my car, but sometimes they look pretty cool. Reminds me of a Matchbox car, but in full size.

quite fitting, since most of them probably work at the mcdonalds / burger king / kfc, etc.

There are 2 of those cars in the parking lot outside. One is yellow and the other is purple with the Crown Royal logo on the side....classy.

I never knew it was called "donk," I always thought it was called....well let's just say white people are so scared of black people.

What's up with the faux-corporate sponsorship?

And man, good thing we can't make fun of white people liking stupid shit like this on their vehicles.

Oh, wait...
