OK, it's almost 3 weeks into 2009, and people are still saying "Happy New Year". How long does this go on? when is it no longer a "new" year? I stopped saying it after about Jan. 3.

Someone said it to me Saturday night at Mooch and Pixie's party and I thought it was a joke. Just because you haven't seen someone since January 1st doesn't mean you have to say "Happy New Year!" when you finally do see them.

They should've said Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas to me too if that was the case.
