When Pot Smoking becomes creepy?

I know a few people in their 40s , 50s and even 1 in their 60s who still smoke pot, I think they are loser creepos

I figured once you hit 25-35, have a family, you would quit wasting the $$ to get high, Pot is something you do in you late teens 20s and maybe early 30s

maybe I am wrong and there is no age limit before it gets creepy

what say you??

I don't think it's creepy, but at some point it seems a bit childish to risk the legal ramifications.

But, legal shit aside, it is no different than drinking.

Is there an age limit for drinking?

Jeez, I hope not.

On topic I know a guy in his mid or late 60s who still smokes pot a couple times a day. He does so because he has a lot of pain from a back injury. He says that he can actually function and work around his house but without it he can't even sit down without horrid pain.

I hate when someone makes me feel bad for still being in that phase. It just makes me feel bad. I'll stop when I'm just not into it anymore. Maybe it'll be next year, maybe it'll be when I'm 70. Wanna fight about it?

It's no different than drinking, or smoking cigarettes. Cannabis use is actually less harmful than alcohol, tobacco, and caffeine. Some people also use it for medicinal purposes. I think smoking cigarettes makes you look silly, since all it does is make people fiend for more nicotine. If your gonna smoke something, at least get high off of it. I think people that get drunk to the point of making asses of themselves and drink till they puke look silly.
Perhaps the cannabis users you know are just creepy, odd people regardless if they are high or not.

I think with both drinking and smoking pot, there is an age limit where it gets embarrassing/creepy if you get busted for it. If you get busted with pot or get a DWI when you are 23, it's not really seen as a big deal. If it happens when you are 52 and have a career and family, it looks kind of pathetic. Not that I would judge anyone for getting busted with pot or getting caught drinking and driving, but "society" seems a lot more forgiving of those things for young people.

I agree with others, besides legality it's no different from drinking or smoking but anything in excess can be stupid and creepy. So no, there is no age limit as long as they are just doing it on the side to relax, not living to get high.

unless he just started smoking, which is wierd in and of itself.

Someone earlier posted that there is no age limit for drinking, and i agree with that logic.

I hope to be smokin weed into the twilight of my life....which at this pace puts it at 53 years old.

since "smoking pot" as an older person isn't something generally accepted, a lot of older people who openly smoke pot might be weird just cuz they probably have a lifestyle "off the beaten path". So they are weird people who just happen to smoke pot, rather than the other way around

i also believe there are alot of older people who smoke pot often but u dont know it cuz they don't wear it on their sleeves. Just an adult activity between adults. But the older people who openly are smoking pot in public just come off as weird cuz they are naturally weird dudes in my opinion...with or without drugs

If someone is a raging pothead to the point their life revolves around, that's pretty pathetic at any age.

If it's someone who does it to relax or unwind or whatever from time time, sure, why not? It's no different than someone having a drink in the same situation.

I agree with this wholeheartedly.
I used to burn like, a quarter everyday, and it sucked after too long. I quit for two years, and now just burn at the end of the day.
It's nice man, and I don't see a point or age where it will stop being nice.
I think as long as you get all your shit done, there's no problem at all.

It has been several years and with my depression, etc. it is not good to. Not to mention that working with the VA I had to submit urine for testing and if I would have made a mistake with a patient I would have been tested again. Every now and then I wish to smoke, but knowing it can make my PTSD worse I do not. All I need is to put my hand through a wall while sleeping.

I agree with GAZ on this point. There are a lot of smokers that you wouldn't know smoked.
Instead of a cocktail to unwind they light up. And they're not bugging anybody.

I think there's a range where adult pot smoking can be creepy (33-55).
Seniors smoking pot rule, even though I don't, I can't deny it.

High school kids smoking pot with their parents or stealing pot from them (and vice versa) always made me feel super skeeved out.

I don't see anything wrong with older folks doing it if they are in the privacy of their own home and not out partying with young kids. My husband and I would smoke it once in a while (usually after the coke ran out) in the early days but quit all that stuff before we had a kid 2 years ago. But the other day while cleaning out the basement my husband found a near-vacuum sealed jar of fat pot buds. He'd gotten it off his brother years ago and forgot about it and it was still fresh! So now maybe once a week on the weekends we'll sneak in the basement (after kid's in bed) and have a puff or two. I don't see anything wrong with that. But, yeah, I don't want anything like this in the house when my kid is a teenager. It would skeeve me out too if she found mom & dad's pot stash.
