if you could resurrect anyone and go see them play a show, who would it be?

I've seen Jeff Buckley live in a small dive in Asbury Park that's closed now (T-Birds), and that's a good choice Arienette. One of the best live shows I'd ever seen, and I go to alot of shows.

Definately Ronnie Van Zant, and the rest of the original line-up of Lynyrd Skynyrd. I saw the watered down fake version last summer, and they were decent. But I want to see the real thing. Well, at least I have the Freebird: The Movie concert video.

I have Jeff Buckley's Grace here at work and people tend to get pissed when I play "that depressing crap," but that cd is just so fucking good.

No one's mentioned Hendrix yet? Blasphemy.
I'd also say Morrison. If comedians count I'd like to see Lenny Bruce.

Arienette - I have to agree with you whole heartly. Jeff Buckley would have to be my choice. I think I have evrything his ever did either on cd or downloaded live versions.
For a treat try downloading Buckley reading Edgar Allan Poe's Ulalume.

Hendrix without a doubt. I saw Stevie Ray Vaughn and his brother down here in Merriweather and that was a great show. But Hendrix would be incredible.
Have a safe and happy new year. Let's hope next year is a whole lot better.<IMG SRC="http://www.toontracker.com/terry/mghther1.gif 100x300

Bradley Nowell of Sublime. They have been one of my favorite bands since about '96 and it sucks that I'll never have the opportunity to see them. The remaining members tried to form a new band called Long Beach Dub Allstars, but they blow. He was the heart of the band. It's like replacing Kurt Cobain and thinking no one will notice.

Hendrix, Lennon, Marley, Brad Nowell (Sublime), Jaco Pastorius...it would be weird to see what Motzart, or any of those genius freaks would do with this kind of technology at their finger tips.
