- not sure where to post this so I'll add to the latest listening thread -

the peter max interview just played. it was one of Ron's best. i'm not sold on the intro / outro and overall feel of the show, but i love the variety of guests. my question is, for the die hard listeners, did tiger lily in fact facilitate this interview at all? she mentioned her dad had a connection to the artist. it seems like a big coincidence, if in fact she had no part in connecting the dots, that she would have brought max up to ron month's ago and now here we have the interview. i didn't catch ron reference new lily in anyway associated to the interview

by the way, weren't ron's instincts about her perfect?

i think what the interview shows need is more music or other relevant audio interspersed, tastefully of course, throughout the conversation. some things are very smart and differentiate this show from others. foremost is ron himself, second is the variety of guests, third is the length - i think the freedom of having a conversation from 20 to 50 minutes is very smart, and of course another is that its radio. so on charlie rose, if the guest is talking about a politician or song or era or x, you wouldn't expect to break from the conversation and see an audio / visual piece, whereas with radio one is used to a less literal / linear presentation.

I just happened to catch the last 30 minutes of the show and I almost pissed myself laughing. A friend that has never heard Ron and Fez was there and went and bought a satellite receiver just to listen to R & F. Nuff said!

And the "I'll bring the Clorox." comment when talking about ILovewhitegirls.com came up was classic!
