Can't always catch the live show or the daily re-play (assuming there is one -- seems like O&A is just replayed over and over -- wouldn't it be nice if they alternated O&A/R&F shows on the daily replay?). I have the internet only connection. Is there a way to record the live show electronically?

Read about audible.com on other threads and checked it out. If I understand this correctly, I can subscribe to audible.com at $7.99 per month (which I think is what I'm now paying for XM Online) and get O&A shows for free plus R&F 1 yr subscription for like $30. So essentially for an extra $30 a year I can listen to both shows anytime I want on my PCs and download them onto CDs to listen in the car/gym. Sounds like a plan. All I'm giving up is the wonderful Sirius/XM service, which craps out once a week, and 100 other channels I don't listen to. There must be a downside to this. What is it?

Anyway to record the post-show meetings? I have my day set up to go to the gym after the show and do not want to change my routine.

Downside is I don't know if there is a way to burn the audible format into something you can burn to a CD for your car ride. The Audible site will run some sort of diagnostic test, or something, to determine what format you should download in. There might a converter (there's always a converter, right?) but I just line-in my iPod to the car to solve that.

Also, what do you mean get O&A for free? I bought a one-year R&F sub through Audible, and that's exactly what I get...? Not that I'd listen to O&A even if it were free.

I've been an audible user for about 2 years - it's worth it.

I've burned audible files to CD before. My files are downloaded through a podcast straight through iTunes, and that file is fine for putting to CD.

I use replay AV, lets you set up and automatically record from XM online, I don't feel like paying for Audible when I already have an XM subscirption. And if you wanna record the post show, i just usually go through http://seeand.hearustalk.com/ cause i don't have paltalk. I think the show automatically starts up without having to press play, it did the one time i tried to record it anyway.
