Anyone hear O&A this morning when some guy came on the show "Daniel" and told his
great story of him trying to return a hard drive to Circuit City? It was funny how he described the morons at customer service and then the Manager "Russ" at College point
who was a complete asshole. Daniel had gone and asked a employee which hard drive he could use, they told him, then when he got it home it was unusable. They refused to take it back even though the employee told him the wrong thing. Also they were rude to him. I couoldnt help wondering what id do in that situation.

Buyer beware - dont buy anything at Circuit City.

The thing is they're now being run by the liquidation company so they don't care about Circuit City anymore.

The employees may have been kept on through the liquidation but they are probably no longer considered CC employees.

The guy would probably have a better time contacting what remains of the corporate entity and explaining his issue to them.

It's doubtful that he'd get the solution he wanted but they might give him something if he stressed the fact that the incorrect purchase was made based on an employees suggestion.

Buyer Beware. - KNOW YOUR ROLL

You should not go shopping for yourself if you don't know what you need.

Prices will be so low in a couple weeks, I won't care what info they tell me.

That's actually not true.

They aren't going to be selling things at " give it away " prices because the purpose of the liquidation is to make money not get rid of the products.

The liquidation will last 6 months with gradual discounts being applied to things that don't move and by the time they 80% off proces are there it'll be things you don't need or want.

I mean they aren't gonna sell a $900 television for $450 to an individual customer when they can sell it to some third party vendor for $700 for them to resell.

I prefer potato, though a poppyseed one can be quite tasty.

I went to the Circuit City in Rochester last week, and even with the discount, everything was the same price or more expensive than Walmart/Amazon/Half.com

Isn't everything at Circuit City being sold under the "no returns" policy since they are in liquidation?

I believe I read that on the website, and it should be posted in the store.

OK, just hearing it now. Danny at least tried to avoid a problem, although he should have known an exchange would go absolutely nowhere.

However the store shouldn't have been so douchebaggy about the issue.

Funny story, but he should have known better then to trust those people.

Devils Advocate: As a former retail worker myself, I would have treated him the same way. Those people have years of customer anger to unleash & they are losing their jobs anyway so why would you care?

Either way I liked "...so I called back and got the same person, at least they sounded the same."
