I've found myself answering myself out loud while walking down the street.
I'm crazy, so you might be too.

I think we've all had a moment where you say something out loud without thinking, even though nobody else is around to hear it. Like, "fuck I can't believe I forgot that." or counting out loud.
Talking to yourself in plural ("fuck we can't believe we forgot that") makes you nuts.

Nah, cuz if you're crazy, I'm crazy!
I think most people do it. I actually think it's weirder to talk to a pet you know won't answer you but I talk to dogs all the time. Weird.

No, no, nooo... it's not crazy! I do it all the time... In fact after reading this question posted here I said, aloud, "Naw man, that shit ain't crazy."
Iconstantly catch myself sayin things to me at home alone...watchin TV or whatever....yellin, "Can you believe this shit?!" or even in the supermarket like... "Oooh, now that's a deal!" or, "You gotta be kiddin me, who'd pay this?!" On and on.... Talkin to myself in general seems to help organize the thoughts running amok. That's what I say.
I talk to myself out loud all the time, and Lord knows I'm sane as hell. Right?! Yeah...

I prefer internalizing everything and concequently having a psychotic break in which scream out loud to myself. now thats good crazy.
On a side note, while waiting for the C train in midtown in the afterwork hours, I saw a professional type gentleman loudly saying the words, many of them wrong, to "Riders On The Storm" while pacing to and fro on the platform. Nobody would go anywhere near him. That was crazy.

well, I don't like people at my work so I gotta talk to myself... who else could I vent to about stupid users or incompetent personnel.
Also at the store I talk to myself when I remember something on my shopping list... for some reason I have to tell myself where to go next... ha
Just as I've long suspected about this place...

Please post more often Kathleen. You're like, the awesome poster of the world.
HAH! I would love to walk down Aisle 3 and see you sayin out loud "OOH! Now THAT's a DEAL!!!"
One time I was at a Five and Ten joint when I was a kid and I blurted out "this is so much money nobody'd pay this much" and some lady who worked there started yelling at me. I stuffed some twizzlers into my back pocket and walked out the front door the next day.
I know. What a rebel.

Ok going further on this topic:
Have you ever been really pissed off at someone but are trying not to yell at them to their face because you know it would just start a useless exhausting argument, so you start ranting and try to keep it vague as possible what ur pissed about...but as you get going, you start getting all Hamlet about it and next thing you know the person hears you and you're fighting anyway?
I gotta admit. It's therapeutic as hell when you don't get caught. Worth the risk IMO.

HAHH! Yes... totally..... My thing is though... sometimes I'll be pissed bout something, and will talk to myself.... and I like... kinda act out the course of the conversation/argument...try to predict what will be said....cause I wanna be prepared you know, not be left sittin there with a doofy stunned look or anything.I map it all out, man...then say to myself, terribly smugly self-satisfied, "And that's what I'll say to THAT.. heh..." One of them kinda deals, as if it's a fuckin practice... a dress rehersal....
You can imagine my surprise if the verbal altercation doesn't go according to script. Whooa! No, you know, the more we talk about this, no I am dreadfully insane. Sorry... wait... yes to crazy.

i used to talk to myself alot more until i got a dog, now i just talk to her
the worst is when i start singing a song without thinking in public. I had to go out after R&F and i had "satellite of love" stuck in my head and i just start going "bum bum bum" and i know people were looking at me

i talk to myself out loud on a regular basis. Sometimes when I have a memory of something stupid i did, i talk out loud along the lines of "you're an ass".
I don't know why I talk to myself in the 2nd person but I do it.
It's not crazy at all.

Talking to a dog is good for the dog
Everything I say out loud to myself is negative
Its also good if you have ADD, helps to organize and anchor your thoughts through two modalities

Ya its nuts, but no more nuts then posting on a message board. That's what I just told myself under my breath. My house is bugged so I don't say anything out loud.

I talk in traffic about crazy motorists who have no logical reason to have a driver's license. I do talk to myself in the grocery store when remembering what I need. And, I talk to myself around the apartment mostly when I do something stupid.
I do talk to my cat but it is good for the animal and myself.
