Can we retire "Shit" as a cuss word?

seriously, NO ONE is offended by the world "shit". I have said it freely in front of every family member my whole life. My grandparents have said it freely in front of us our whole lives

"shit" means poop. Poop doesn't offend anyone. a harsher word for poop wouldn't offend anyone

atleast with "Fuck", i'll hesitate when using it in front of my folks (i only say it as an expletive instead of a verb).


There has been these great specials on PBS this past week on the history of comedy. They were showing clips of Chris Rock and his famous "Black people v. niggas" bit. They bleeped out all the "fucks" and "shits" but not "nigga". The word "nigga" offends everyone, you are a famous person and you say that word people will protest and ask for your head. You say "shit" and no one cares. They should be able to say "shit" on Nickelodeon for all i care. Spongebob should be able to say "hey Patrick, you smell like shit" and no one would be offended

basically, i'm just saying how the rules don't make any sense. Lets free the word "shit" for all already, its just silly

yeah you can be clever with an innuendo. like, a girl says "Charlie Sheen why didn't you come over here when i called you?" and Charlie Sheen goes "hey, i came last night didn't I?" and then the studio audiences laughs and applauds.


but its like, the censors are so cookie cutter and just so "this is bad and this is good" that you can't make any changes.
