Tri-state Area Calls Only Show?

I think there should be a tr-state area calls only show. Maybe it would recapture that WNEW caller glory days. Then for comparison a day of all other states calling in with no tri-state calls. This might be hard to pull off. Maybe Billy Staples can work the phones that day or Scruffy and Hicks can just eliminate callers based on accent.

That's a perfect example of bad call screening. I called the show 4 times when they were in DC. Two times I got on. One time, the screener said someone was already on hold with what I was saying (an example of good call screening). One time, the subject changed while I was on hold, so I hung up (an example of a good caller).

The only problem with that, is I listen to the show recorded on my Nexus. Though I have been tempted to call at 9PM anyway. And sometimes, when someone calls in with the same name as me, I wonder if it's me.

I think you over estimate NYs influence and ignore the moronic callers that come from that area, the biggest problem are the call screeners not the callers.

Its the biggest problem NYers have, that anything outside of there is shit or that its the city that made people huge. They were huge before and they will survive as long as fez can accept himself.

I guess I made a poor assumption that most people use cell phones or VoIP, which do not have long distance costs associated with it. I haven't used a landline phone in it seems 6 years, so I forgot they exist.

If fact, many times Ron would suggest to bad callers, or people who couldn't go with the bit, that maybe they should try calling back during the mid-day show.
