Being a friend to Armand, I felt compelled to tell him what I thought of the back and forth he did with Ron. I know he prolly would love to know how the rest of you felt the interview was.
If you know about him, he doesnt do much publiciziing of himself. Not a marketting guy, nor into PR. In fact, he told me that any sites or pics being sold with his name on it on the web til this day is not authorized by him, nor does he even know much about it. How nuts is that?
I'd love to tally up some oppinions from the fans of the show, to see what some of you think of him in general, and of course that interview he did on the show. He never knew about the show because he doesnt listen to talk radio much, but I know he is HUGE fan of the show, and Ron especially.
With that said, what did you think of his interview?
Sorry this is late, but I was just curious.

You mean he lives and focuses his energies on real life, how novel.
As for the interview, can't help you bc I missed it. Outside of that I really don't have an opinion on him from his work. He's more of a lay low guy as you mention, so I'm really neutral.

it was a good interview, but like most it seems ron is leading them to places that they are either unaware of or don't want to go.
I think most are caught off guard by being asked unique questions, unlike most interviews.
Worst case being Jimmy Smits? that guy seemed lost.

Good point on Ron's interviewing, as he is very in depth/cerebral which sometimes outpaces the guest....especially those used to canned questions and boring hosts.

Totally agree. That's why I love Unmasked. Ronnie B is a master interviewer. This one was a goody.

I thought it was a good interview and I found him interesting. I wish he had taken pictures of a movie thats coming out in March though. I love interviews of guys that have picture books of movies based on comic books.

He might want to look into that, since his career as a relevant movie star seems to have vanished about 15 years ago.

I loved that interview. Not only do I plan to see California Dreamin' because of hearing him on the show but I have also gone back and tried to find out as much as I can about both Armand Assante and the Romanian director, Cristian Nemescu.
Ron is very good at getting to the heart of how someone like Assante picks a project. AA's clearly believes in the movie and seems to have integrity in choosing what he works in.
Very impressive guy and makes you share his enthusiasm for the film. I can't wait to see California Dreamin' and I have AA films in my netflix queue.
thanks for bringing him on the show, Chris

I enjoyed the interview.
Before that, I didn't have an opinion on Armand. Now I think he's cool.

Your welcome. Off air, and off screen this guy is one of the nicest, coolest cats I know.
I am meeting alot of people along my slow push to the top with the Mob Candy Magazine. I always give the artists some clips of the show if they never heard about it, and ask if they would make an appearence. I am sure there will be more.
I don't know if any will top this interview though. I hope so.

I give it a solid B.
That's odd, since Fez wanted to give Armand a hard "C"

I thought the interview was awesome. Assante is a really interesting guy and Ron asked him some great non-typical questions.
