I didn't actually see his fist make contact and if the "victim" files any complaints I would def use it as "I thought she was in on the whole Mickey Rourke story line". Sadly i'm also hearing Mr. Rourke will not be at Wrestlemania; so maybe thats why Mr. Jericho was in such a foul mood. The people around the car, won't even call the fans, where being a bit asshole-ish, so Chris might have had to defend himself, mind you he migh've Ike Turnered a brawd but if he doesn't get suspended or fired for this it will make his heel turn the greatest of all time.

Why would he get fired for defending himself after (according to the eyewitness accounts) his car was stopped GTA-style, a bunch of the fans taunted him, and this psycho woman shoved him and then grabbed him when he went to get back in his car? I would have swung at her, too. I'd be trying to escape from the mob.

I remember some years ago, I think before the WWF/WWE switch, Jericho was coming down to the ring and was doing his normal entrance, (jumping on the ringside, turning around and holding onto the ropes looking out to the crowd...google it, it did this entrance for years....) and just as he was about to get ready to jump on the ring, a fan jumped the railing and went after him.

the cameras pulled away just in time but not before you seen Jericho throw a shot right at the guy that was coming after him, and it connected. Also, was not apart of the show cause they went straight back to the stage and Eddie came out....

From that day, I respected the guy.....he's a wrestler first but protects his ass secondly. Simple, don't run up on Jericho, you won't get your ass knocked out!

Jericho is also probably the most personable, friendliest wrestler I've ever met. I met him twice, when he was a rookie in ECW and then when he was in WWE... and both times, I was impressed.

I met him at a Fozzy show and it was like 2-3 in the morning and he still came out to meet people and was as nice as can be. I have no sympathy for that woman. People need to learn to keep their hands off the wrestlers.

Looks like Jericho will be alright, WWE is defending his actions.

WWE released the following statement to TMZ.com in response to the incident following yesterday's RAW event in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada:

"After leaving a live event in Victoria, British Columbia on Saturday evening, Chris Jericho's car was attacked by a mob when he was stopped at a stop sign. Unable to proceed, Chris Jericho exited his car to ask the crowd to clear a path so he could continue through the intersection. A man and a woman physically and verbally assaulted Mr. Jericho. Arena and WWE security arrived to establish enough order to allow Mr. Jericho to re-enter his vehicle and depart. The local police arrived minutes later. Mr. Jericho was unharmed in the incident. The WWE is working with local authorities who are investigating the incident to identify the man and woman who fled the scene."

They love Canadians who are playing the OMG I"M CANADIAN AND I RULE Canadians.

Jericho (from what I read) was playing a his normal awesome heel role and trashing Canada during this event.

Canadians also take wrestling entirely too fucking serious. Add the two together and you get mass retards harassing and abusing a human being for the role he is playing.

If anything, the WWE should establish that they have security like the NFL does. And not just WWE trainees... make them heels who get invested in the wrestlers' personal lives outside of the arena, just like NFL Security.

Its even worse now. I have WWE 24/7 and have been watching Raw and Nitro (they put on a new one every 2 weeks). They are up to right after the Survivor Series screwjob, where Austin and Rock are feuding for the IC belt and I just realized they are now editing those old Raw episodes to make them PG as well.

Jericho will not be facing charges.

From the Victoria Times-Colonist:

Victoria police will not lay charges in the melee that erupted after a February wrestling event at the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre where pro wrestler Chris Jericho was swarmed by heckling fans and accused of punching a woman.

Police have interviewed several witnesses and watched hours of video recordings of the incident after the World Wrestling Entertainment bout Feb. 7, said police spokesman Sgt. Grant Hamilton. The evidence presents conflicting stories and charges would not be approved by the Crown, he said.

"It's hard to determine who provoked who."

Jericho alleges fans Ashley Levey and her boyfriend Kalen Johl assaulted him when he got out of his Chevy Tahoe, which was blocked by a mob of people as he drove away from the arena. Levey accused Jericho of spitting on her and punching her in the face.

Hamilton said Jericho has co-operated with police.

The profanity-laced shoving match was captured on cellphone cameras and a recording posted to YouTube has attracted thousands of viewings.

The incident sparked a firestorm of online debate from wrestling fans, some saying the 20-year-old Ashley Levey pushed and harassed Jericho and others saying the 225-pound wrestler overreacted.

Arena security guards were criticized for doing a poor job of handling the brawl.

Hamilton said police have spoken to officials from International Crowd Management and in the future officers may attend high profile events to prevent things from getting out of hand.

Excellent, I am glad they aren't going to charge Jericho. It was a real mess and looked to me like he was defending himself.

Now, I guess we see if he can dodge the Civil Suite bullet...
