Hey I was working on a lesson in one of my classes today, and the topic was Washington's farewell speech...I threw out the question of what would George Washington say to Americans today in regards to his farewell speech...would he retract some of his statements or say things like "See told you so"...Washington warned against foreign alliances, political parties and keeping federal government strong...

You don't know how many times this has been brought up over the years. Maybe, at least, 5 times.

I think without foreign alliances and political parties America would be much worse off today than we could ever imagine. I would say something similar to what Argentina is going through right now.

IT'S TIME TO PLAY THE GAME-AHHH!

I bet there's a lot the founding fathers are disappointed in, but I'm sure they are also pleased that we have adapted with the times, yet never forgotten how precious freedom is.

America's people and culture were unimaginable to the founding fathers, just as we cannot imagine how society will change in the next 225 years.
