Come on now, Eli. You know anything we discuss makes guests and sponsors hurtie all over................................NOT mainstream media, news outlets, the guest and sponsors behavior, etc. A message board.

Who know a bunch of people chit-chatting would send negative WAVES throughout the world or entertainment.

Yeah, I was going to post that too. He probably got confused because they just released a preliminary crash report today concerning an earlier crash. Toss that in with the crash today and it isn't too hard to see how some people could get confused.

KatPw

That's West Virginia. And about 40+ people fewer than what he reported.

He must have blended the number of victims from the Buffalo crash into his count. 2 plane crashes each with 40 victims would be all over the news, with the headline "zomg Terrorists!"

Here's the thing: I've never been in a flight that had any sort of issue -- all of them were completely smooth, perfect, no threat at all. I was in a car wreck where, if this douche had hit me about 3 feet further down the body of my car than he did, I would have at least been severely injured, if not killed. I've had many close calls, and a couple of other minor accidents.

But I'm nervous flying. What the fuck.

I think the issue is one of control. When you're driving, you believe that you have control over whether you get in an accident.

But when you're flying, you have no control over what happens with that plane.

That's why I love the serenity prayer.

If you want to get over your fear of flying take a train from Boston to Orlando for your honeymoon. When it came time to go home I canceled the cab and train ride and booked a flight with SW for the next morning home in 2 hours. Worst part about that trip was being in Penn Station for a few hours saw a lovely young couple arguing in front of NAthans the girl told her beau "I told you not to bring no gun up in here"!

Yeah I'll be coming back to NY real soon
