It's that time of year again, time to make another stimulus check thread.

(this is not a political thread, that can go live in that other scary section of the forum where people keep things serious sometimes)

So now that congress has passed the next stimulus bill that will include $400 for each individual, what will you be spending it on?

I think the $800 for my wife and I might go towards the project we wanted to do this summer of replacing some of the carpeting in the condo with hardwood floors in an attempt to make it easier to sell in another year or so.

Starting in June, the average worker will get $13 more in your weekly check. You are not getting a "stimulus check" like in the past...rather your with holdings will drop.

In that case, then I'll be paying my Sirius XM, Netflix and buying some takeout every month.

Democrats said the bill's tax cuts would help 95 percent of all Americans, much of the relief in the form of a break of $400 for individuals and $800 for couples. At the insistence of the White House, people who do not earn enough money to owe income taxes are eligible, an attempt to offset the payroll taxes they pay.

Isn't that it?

I'm going to pay someone $ .33 per page to read the bill the $400 was part of.

Or a penis enlargement.

I think you are referring to an option on the tax return for 2008. If you did not receive the rebate in 2008 you will get a return from your income taxes.

aren't you getting married this year? Pays for a cake...

Well if you never filed taxes before you were possibly one of the few that did not receive it. I don't know how you did your taxes, I filed mine online. It did not tell you to list it as income because it was no income, but at some point there was a check box where I was asked if I received it and how much.
So it was my guess that based on what I filed 2008 as they would have included it in my 2008 return if I did not receive it. Maybe they also just took the info to verify whether you did or did not receive it.

I'd rather smoke oak leaves than ultra lights. At least with oak leaves, you feel it. I hate the thought of getting cancer while simultaneously missing out on the smoking experience.
