I have had xm for a little over 5 years now. recently i bought a van that came with a sirius radio installed in it. Now that my one year free is up with sirius, i'm planning on renewing.
The question is:
can i just add that radio to my xm subscription, or do i have to get a separate sirius subscription?

my guess is that you have to call sirius, someone mentioned calling sirius about the xm radio renewals to add them all to sirius and they were referred back to xm

I don't think that they've completely combined subscriptions yet, so that you can put a Sirius radio on an XM account and get the friends and family discount, or vice-versa.

I want to know why the hockey station isn't available in my car anymore? That was the sole reason I got xm at the time.

yeah, it appears that it's a big no.
So i just signed up for Sirius, and i will cancel my xm in the next cycle.

Make sure you make it crystal clear to them that you want to cancel. Their CSRs are terrible and trying to cancel XM is like cancelling AOL back in the late 90's.

That is for sure. I had a one year subscription for a radio that ran out in december, instead of stopping the service to that radio they decided to switch it to a month to month subscription and to tack on $2.00 per month for a paper bill (which I never got)
