I'm not sure that it's trashy. They are a young couple that still has an infant baby girl and they're in need of basically all the same stuff for the new kid because Jules is still using all the baby stuff!

There are a lot of people that consider both Casey and Dave good friends and want to help them out.

first off, neither the first nor this party is an actual baby shower in the traditional sense.
Secondly; it's not up to you to judge.

Some people do showers for the first, some do it for every child, some don't do showers but receive presents for the child after it's born... key is that it's not even people helping out but people who genuinely like them welcoming a new baby with a little present (if at all).
Having a registry is not a big deal these days, I have a kid and always have a wish list/ registry for him at all times cause friends and family sometimes want to make gifts and this way they know what is needed instead of having to guess.

My first post and my first party,(E.S.D and Casey shower). I've been listening for about 4 years and Ron, Fez and Dave are rock stars.
Ron is the most narurally funny man I've ever heard, very sexy.
Fez makes Ron even funnier with his take on life.
Dave is a find, great laugh, radio gold.
Regarding another shower for Dave and Casey; their baby is still a baby so they will need double of everything. Also, this baby is a boy, more reason to have another shower.
Keep having showers, (or any kind of fund raiser). I'll keep coming.

The night was really weird at first because the place was packed and no one looked familiar to me from the message board. But then Dave explained to us what the hell was going on. Once the place cleared out a bit and you could actually get a drink, it was great. I stopped being the shy little boy I am (lots of booze involved) and introduced myself to Randy (thinking he was KHB). Then I started meeting everyone. Jersey Rich was really pumped to introduce us to anyone who walked by because we drove down from Boston. Everyone made us feel very welcome and it was a great, great time. I love New York. And I'm looking forward to another ronfez.net event!
