I just think NBC's late night lineup is going to be a disaster. Fallon's show is going to flop, Conan will get trounced by Letterman at 11:30, and Leno at 10 will be a stinkbomb. Every prime time show they try to put on too much ends up flopping after a while.

When my cable company cuts you off for non-payment (which happened to me once when I just forgot to pay the bill), they don't completely block the signal. They leave the TV Guide channel on, and that's the only channel you get.
Believe me, when I saw that shit, I called them up and paid up right away.

I would highly recommend "The Informant" (http://www.amazon.com/Informant-True-Story-Kurt-Eichenwald/dp/0767903277/ref=pd_sim_b_1) by Kurt Eichenwald, about Archer Daniels Midland, the company that makes most of the HFCS out there, and how it was basically fixing the prices on it. It's actually way more interesting than you'd think, because it's centered around the FBI investigation and the main witness, who's kind of a scumbag himself.

Every married person I know, who I told that they were wasting their money by blowing it on a cookie cutter ceremony, ALL told me later on they wished they had listened to me.
My best friend did it right: the two of them flew to Hawaii, got married on the beach with no family or friends, and then spent the rest of their time on a honeymoon. They now own a huge house.

That's the thing: every really expensive, over-the-top wedding I've ever been to was pretty much exactly the same: same music, same buffet, same speeches, etc. etc. It's such an industrialized thing now.

My mom would never say anything to me about my choosing to live out here.
But she has told my wife, in a moment of drunkeness, that her biggest mistake in life was letting me go to college out here. Not that she really had much of a choice in the matter.
Pissed my wife off pretty good, especially since we had had one daughter by then.

However, unlike others, we heard from many that it was one of the best events in their lives. I was probably the most fun I ever had. One of the highlights was the place we had the reception had two bowling lanes in the basement and a pub on the third floor for the after party.
