Also, let me know if Jeff wants me to deliver food to him.

I understand Fandick and company is trying to say. You want your show to "make it" on its own merits and you disapprove of people who leverage relationships with professional radio shows with the intention of building exposure for their own program.
It's certainly a valid opinion. I'd agree with you if we were "johnny come lately" fans, but we're not.
The four of us have enjoyed a long friendship with the Ron & Fez show that has spanned nearly a decade. I think you can count on one hand the number of listener events we've missed over that time. I proposed to my wife on their air. Alkey and Silera have contributed countless hours of great radio over the years to the R&F show. Personally, I volunteered several years of my life to promoting this show I love. Indeed, the very website you're using now to call us sell outs was originally my work.
The notion that networking with successful people is a bad thing is just about the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Are you naive? The only barometer for success in radio is how many people are listening to your program. We have something few podcasts will ever have...two friends with a radio show that reaches two countries. What ambitious talk show host wouldn't take advantage of that opportunity?
The answer, of course, is none of them. You're either deluding yourself or lying to cover up your jealousy. No logical human being stands believes they can just stand around and wait for success. You either make it happen for yourself or you don't.
On a side note, bravo for passing judgment about our show based on a five minute screening. I'm sure if I listened to any five minutes of your show out of context I would be thoroughly entertained.
