Ronnie Check out Dead Confederate a Band from Athens, Ga. They are playing NYC on March 7. Also check out Ray Wylie Hubbard, he's from Austin, Tx. He's considered the poet laureate of Texas, he's playing NYC on Feb. 28. I also think he might be a good interview.

I've been telling about them for a long time. Hopefully this thread will remind him.

There's two things about this post that make me think this is a plug by someone in the band, and I shouldn't be posting this because it helps proliferate this annoying and cheap thread.

I am not in the band and I don't work for the band in any form. I just happen to be a fan of good music, not the cookie cutter shit thats clogging up the airwaves these days!

It took over 15 years for Nirvana to reach Georgia?

We take a lot of shit for living in Georgia, but I guess you have forgotten all the great music that has come out of Georgia. Allman Bros, R.E.M., Drive by Truckers, Otis Redding, Little Richard, Ray Charles, Of Montreal, Chuck Levell (unofficial 5th member of the Rolling Stones), James Brown....
