If it was already, I don't care.
I use Mac for everything except for gaming but, I only play SimCity 2000.
Who you got??
PCs are fine for the common man or woman.
Those of us with an ounce or more of class use Macs.

I use my Mac for most of my computer needs but I have to use a PC for things like Newsgroups and a few Apex DC++ Hubs that I am on. Apex on runs on windows and I can't find a newsreader that works on Mac.

I worked in the printing industry for more than 20 years and we were always Mac oriented. At home I still have an older flat panel Imac. The computer I use the most is my xp laptop. I also have a laptop running pclinux os that is more of a personal experiment than anything.

I just find MACs awkward to use (I make my living working on PCs after all), although I would be very interested in getting one eventually. The problem is they are stupid expensive and impractical for my day-to-day use - Unless I would have a Windows partition or virtual machine installed.

Stupid expensive is a myth.
Sorry, it's not 98 anymore.
I use all os's listed, kde and mac osx are my faves.
I'm still waiting for someone to mention mice.

Of course, the mac was mentioned.

Well in comparison they are close to double the price of a PC.

I have both, but use my iMac like 99% of the time. To me it is vastly superior. I grew up on PC and it was a struggle to get used to the Mac, but I am glad I did it. I honestly hope less people use Macs though, because sooner or later some asshole hacker fuckface will find a way to ruin my shit.

Shouldn't you be working on your piece of shit car that breaks down constantly?
Oh wait...you don't have the time.
You're constantly fixing your computer that always breaks down!

I honestly gave macs a fair shot and had an ibook a while back. Even after a year I never did feel comfortable with OSX and physically durability of the hardware sucked ass. I've been using XP ever since it came out and can pretty much figure everything out. Was lost with OS X, but I can say the same thing about that POS vista.

I've used Mac's all my life for design and desktop publishing. I bought my folks a HP laptop last Sept. w/ Vista. They couldn't take it anymore, so I sold it and got them a MacBook Pro, they love it. I think for the layman, newbies, PC's seem to be alittle more difficult to navigate.

neither break down constantly.
And the funny thing is. I can fix them both MYSELF.
so good point.
and good job being the only person giving yourself accolades.
my pc problems were due to some bad RAM. it is fixed now and running prime stable over night. But that's right your a mac user and don't understand technical stuff like that.
Your just a pretentious know nothing. Like most people. You spend more money so you THINK you have something better. But in all reality you don't.
And how is a pc less easy to navigate. Microsoft has to be the easiest thing to use. Everything is laid out right in front of you.

You've obviously never used a Mac. It does what a PC does simpler, easier, and with more efficiency.

He said that mexi because you're argument makes no sense and sounds like you've copied and pasted your argument from ever flame war ever.
And how will your pc run circles around a mac? Using what program? Just wondering.
And you do realize you can build and install osx on a pc now?
I'm guessing not since you seem to have little actual knowledge on this subject.

Well you have to narrow the list of programs since a lot wont run on mac that run on PC.
Whats amazing that all the mac fanboys think that somehow they are fighting against the bastard that is windows, that evil corporation that buys up everything when in reality jobs is 100 times worse and the only reason apple has that reputation is because he couldnt saturate apple in there to get a bigger market share. If he was in control of the home market there would be very few computers in homes since most cant afford macs to run the more powerful programs.

Just to stir the shit pot - with bootcamp, my Mac runs windows better, faster and less crash prone than any of the PCs I've used in the past.

i switched over to a mac in march. i'm so happy. i haven't had to worry about anything.
i don't know if i want to get windows for it. i've debated, but i think i'm pretty ok without being able to use some of those programs.
paltalk kind of really sucks on a mac anyway. but thats not really saying much.

Are you kidding me? A 15.4" screen Macbook is around $2,000 (Looking at this link (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp;jsessionid=3IUBAYFTPELFNKC4D3JVAFQ?sku Id=9107478&type=product&id=1218024600809), which seems to be about average).
The system is pretty good, but not "2 Grand" good. You still have to add warranty support, productivity software, and Virtual Machine or a Windows partition to be able to use it with the necessary software, websites, etc. at work (in my office at least, but many other offices as well).
I am happy for you if $2000 isn't considered stupid expensive for an average to good machine that you still have to spend several hundred upgrade, but that is way too rich for my blood. I could get a killer, fully loaded Windows laptop for $2000 or less.
