My wife is watching this show on TLC called 17 kids and counting. These crazy religious people have 17 kids, and it walks through a day in their life etc. One of the older kids is getting married and he and his wife are saving themselves for marriage. No big deal, I'm sure there is still a percentage of people out there that feel this is a good idea.

Problem is, they aren't talking about sex, they are talking about kissing. These crazy fuckers wont even go on a date without a chaperon .

What the fuck is wrong with people? How can you possibly know if you are compatible with someone if you have never been intimate in anyway? This thing is blowing my mind.

Generally speaking I can give a rats rectum about people's personal lives and what god(s) they believe in, how/who they fuck, etc. If the people in the show are happy and are paying their own way through life then good for them. On the other hand I do take issue with the "octomom". This bitch needs her uterus removed ASAP and vagina crazyglued shut. I find it unconscionable that she added another 8 kids to her litter when she couldn't support the 6 she already had.

It's my understanding that he's actually an ordained minister ... Jim-Bob & Michelle met while they were at a workshop for ministry ... it's weird but not un-heard of.

And I have family who subscribe to the "Quiver-full" philosophy (I believe I've posted about them here before.) While I admire their commitment to their convictions, I disagree with the ideology and worry that their children (my cousins) will be unable to function in the world as it is, rather than as it's been presented to them.
