All you people from NJ should know what this is! I was talking to a New Yorker, who shall remain nameless (Lou), and he had never heard of it. Hot Air Balloons rock! I always used to go to the one near Soldberg Airport.

<font color="#0F00CD">"I think it's time we stop, hey, what's that sound, everybody look what's going down"</font color="#0F00CD">
I've always wanted to go up in one of those things, but I've never attended any of the festivals, believe it or not. And me, a life-long New Jersey boy! I know, 40 lashes.
You ever take a balloon ride, Sunny? Or any one out there?

When I was a kid, they would have a ballon festival in my town every year. It would start at the beach, and they would cross Long Island Sound and land in LI. We would go every year. It was cool. Then for some reason it ended. What a shame.

You Jersey people should be ashamed! CoughLouCough is excused because he is blinded by his own NY ego. :)
It's once a year in the summer. It's sponsered by Quick Chek and so many other companies. It's held at the Solberg Airport, Readington, NJ, in Hunterdon County.
Info for 2002 can be found here: http://www.balloonfestival.com/historynj.html
I think we should all make an effort to go, could be lots of fun!

Heard all about them, have not been. Being from Hunterdon Co. I see hot air ballons all the time. Taking a ride was great, if you going to do it shop around. I think I paid $200. for two, and have seen them for $200.for one.
GOD BLESS , ROMEO

Hot Air Balloons are cool. I was in one when I was little, but me being afraid of heights wasnt very cool. My aunt and her friend own a hot air balloon company, so I didnt have to pay to go in it. It is cool but I almost sh*t myself i was so scared so I had to sit on the bottom of the basket (which felt like i was floating :)) till we came down! But if you ever have the money and the chance to go in one I say go for it, just not if you dont like heights :)
