Sean not only met, but surpassed all requirements. Following his Arrow Of Light ceremony, he, and his fellow Webelos are now officially proud members of Troop 139. Next stop, Jr Patrol Leader.

Huzzah!!

A pinewood derby sounds horribly uncomfortable.

Congrats

Regionals?!?! We never had regionals in Pack 48. One derby at that was it.

Congrats!!!! I know that this is way early too say, but down the road, for college, being an Eagle Scout looks great on transcripts.

Congratulations my friend, these are milestones you need to cherish. While your kids are in their growing and learning stages you can learn a lot from them as well.

Enjoy this and many more memorable moments to come! Kids are the best! My kids are both in their early 20's and while I miss the "growing" stage, I have found that the nurturing continues throughout their life. A good foundation equals good kids.

Congrats again!

Congrats!!!! That is great news! I know you are so PROUD of your son!

I was in Girls Scouts and got kicked out. I never turned in my cookie money and spent it on clogs. This was about 1977.

'Grats Tub. Somehow, they manage to look like they were teleported from the 80's, but they're adorable and good kids it seems. You are clearly proud so there's no need for me to say you should be. You already know it.

Who else here thinks the name Webelos is really funny?

wish i was a boy scout when i was a child harumph garumph

My troop leaders were busted for selling drugs. I wish our paper had a better search feature and I could find the story, but in 1980 we were devastated. I am not certain why my parents did not look for another troop, but that was my last experience as a cub scout. I later volunteered to run a medical clinic for the Eagle Scout summer camp in Germany, was fun and I got an award.

Thats great news. Since Patrick and I were so involved with travel baseball he never did the whole scouts thing. It was something I enjoyed as a kid. I got the order of the arrow too and made it to star scout but no higher. I was also in a troop 139 !!
Good for him.
You really have let your self go if this last picture is any indication.

Bergen County Pack 233 Den 7 check-in in! I made it to my second year of Webelos and then gracefully resigned my post. I still miss the Blue and Gold dinner at the Fiesta on rt.17. Congrats to you and your sons Hottub.

That is cool! I was a cub scout for only a year, but I did get 2nd in the pack's Pinewood Derby (OK, one of the judges was a family friend). I left because it wasn't very rewarding, plus the thought of becoming a Boy Scout was too overwhelming for 8 year old me.

I did go to a lot of pack meetings to help out when I was older tho, because my brother was a Cub Scout and my mom was the event coordinator for the pack. That was probably more fun and interesting than being a Cub Scout:banning:

Congrats again!

PS- my den leader that year was busted for having kiddie porn on his computer. I think he got probation and him and his family moved far away after that school year
