Dearest Dr. Steve,

What can you tell me about S.A.D? Any ways to deal with it naturally? Is it a bunch of poop?

Just wondering.

OK, so I'm not Dr. Steve, but I am a fellow SAD sufferer.

Phototherapy (http://www.naturalsolutions1.com/lighttherapy.htm) with a wide-spectrum light can work wonders for a lot of people.

After we moved, I noticed a marked improvement in my SAD symptoms because the house has more windows, so I get a lot more sunlight than I did in the apartment, so I really believe that phototherapy will help.

For the depression symptoms, a lot of people take St. John's Wort, but it has counterindications and drug interactions up the wazoo and, until your body adjusts to it, it can cause tummy trouble. Personally, I think it's a load of bull, but my mother has sworn by it in the past.

Hope this helps!

i think St. John's wart would interfere with my anxiety meds. I am in the sun a lot but still feel it.

You sure it's S.A.D. and not an adverse reaction to your meds, then?

Talk to your doctor about side effects!

Or perhaps you're newly a vampire and this is one of the first manifestations of your newfound thirst for blood.

If this is the case, don't listen to Liz because what she is suggesting will most definitely kill you.

You think her suggestions will kill you? Try her meatloaf!
