One of the reasons the democrats are targeting him is that, according to some polls, the majority of people in the US dislike him. And it's not just the moderates and liberals, a good portion of republicans dislike him too.

He does have a huge following, and his followers are very loyal. But he's too polarizing a figure to become President I think.

Exactly. My brother in law apparently is a horrendous drunk if he drinks liquor, but is okay if he sticks to beer or wine. So for the last 10 years or so, he only drinks beer, and wine.

Just look at what has come out about Anthony in the last few months. I mean truly for the longest time everyone thought his views were for the show and just an act it turned out to be very real, so real it has really done damaged to the show.

So I can't imagine Dave's "Act" not having some real world validity. I mean look at the day that Earl got sent to the hospital and fez wasn't talking Dave had to get drunk the night before and not do his job. Ron was furious about that and it wasn't part of a bit.

I know that Hicks got drunk too, but damn Dave has a family to worry about when he is getting drunk and sometimes I don't think he does.

it may make him irresponsible and immature in his decisions when drinking, I would not go as far as to say his kids don't deserve him or he is a bad father... sure the things he does when drunk indirectly effect them but you still don't know how he does otherwise as a father.

You know, not to make an excuse for him, but as a woman you change a lot when you become a mother, for a man it is often even more overwhelming and they cannot feel the same feelings the woman develops over her pregnancy and after a kid is born...
it's not a secret that most change drastically after having a kid and their life revolves around the kid all if the sudden... and a lot of times the attention switches from the father to the kid entirely and they don't always handle that in the most mature ways.
