View Full Version : Drinking = free ticket to cheat?

So, if you get drunk and cheat, is it ok?
My take on it is that if you have had tendencies to cheat or mess around while drunk in the past, anytime you get drunk in the future, you are just as likely to cheat on someone or mess around.
You make a conscious decision to drink to the point you get drunk, so therefore you make a conscious decision to potentially engage in behavior that can lead to cheating. That's my take.
Is it ok? Are there any other stupid things that you can do that "being drunk" is a good excuse for?
Go.
You're an asshole for cheating whether you're drunk or sober.

No such thing as a free ticket.
No such thing as a "good drunk" either.
Cheating is never excusable.
The second or third caller had it exactly right. All you need to do is turn the situation around to find out if it is ok.
If someone came to you and admitted to cheating but explained that it was ok because they were drunk, Would you buy it ? If you can truly answer yes, then the chances are you are in an open relationship (and there are different problms with fucking around while drunk). If the answer is no, then it isn't ok for you to do it.

Eh-ra, I only killed one girl (that I'm aware of) due to drinking and I pretty much got a pass. I say "Go for it!"

This isn't the kind of idea you have before you are trying to rationalize an action. A person did it and then needed to explain it, and that should tell you whether or not it's right or wrong.

This goes back to a point I make in every drinking thread: learn to maintain and this isn't a problem. We all do things that are a little questionable when were not sober, but breaking you word should never be one of them.

Being drunk is never an excuse.
I'm proud to say I've never cheated because I was drunk, but sad to say I haven't always been treated the same way.

Hell I dumped a girl because she said that some guy ate her out when she was drunk, she insisted that he didnt fuck her and it was a stupid party bet. I told her that I was worth so little that you let some guy eat your pussy and told her to get the fuck out, then I went and got drunk as shit.

Being drunk is a free ticket to groping tits and ass at a nudie bar. Whether that is cheating or not is up to you to decide.
Cheating is lying, to both yourself and your partner. Nothing worse than a liar in my eyes. They're completely bereft of dignity and pride.
If you have to be drunk to lie you're an even lower skunk. You're a coward.

If you feel like this can be justified put the shoe on the other foot.
Is it okay if your chick fucks some big black dude (it always seems to bother jealous types if they're black ) as long as she was trashed? Probably not.
Break up with your chick or try to get an open relationship going. Otherwise you're an asshole.

Despite what Ashley Madison would like to lead us to believe, if you are going to fuck around why get married in the first place? And if you have a history of reckless behavior, that may be difficult to quell even if you are married. And if you are running around hammered and blaming being drunk on everything (or anything) then maybe it is time to reassess life and priorities in general.

This has got nothing to do with Ashley Madison!
Face it..if your wife or husband is gonna stray..they will do it even without Ashley Madison.
And no drinkng is never an excuse for cheating..Sure, it lowers inhibitions..and makes it easier, but it is never an excuse.
If you are using your drinking as an excuse for your cheating..you need help for your drinking.
