If you don't like the show now, you probably won't like it anymore if, ron&fez forbid, they get canned from CBS. Anyone changing their minds is unlikely to happen and then there would be other people who will say that the past situation was better. I would stop waiting for things that could happen. CBS & Citadel corporate does what it wants and has failed or kept flat in most markets that O&A have been in as referenced by Opie's keep track of the post-show ratings.
I would keep track of KLSX (http://www.ampradio.com/)'s ratings if you are so interested.

Also as far a K-Rock format flipping (again), I hope its for good this time. When K-Rock came back I was hoping for better programing which didn't happen.

Its also a good reason for me to keep my XM Subscription for now. I was leaning toward getting rid of it with them charging for Online Streaming this month. I own 2 units and I was gonna just go down to 1 in the car with Best of Sirius Package to get some Stern with my O&A and R&F.

i was thinking why it took me so long to turn on the CBS show because in its history i never felt entirely comfortable with that situation..it never got "better". Then i remembered how long that Merger took. The satellite job was always in jeopardy so i supported the CBS show just incase i could always get some O&A. Now the satellite gig seems secure, even if its not I'm not living in NY so i couldn't hear a krock only show anyway. So "Lets go Sirius XM!"

It has essentially turned into a sit-in with O&A taking up as much time as they can just to make a point.

As much as we can debate the merits of one show over the other (I liked both sides), I hate to see anything bad happen to these guys or any show. I have listened daily for a couple of years (faithful XM sub) to O&A and R&F. I wish both success and never feel a need to kick them when they're down.

Hopefully the boys land on their feet. Seems like they usually do.

The only problem is that Satellite isn't the safety cushion it once was.

But terrestrial radio isn't in a much better place right now. As an entity Radio may survive, but O&A aren't going to be able to get any massive, multi-station deals right now. Most companies and stations are shooting for the lowest-cost programing they can find.

If radio gets it's head out of it's collective butt and tries to give listeners something they can't already get on an iPod - like live talk and comedy radio formats that aren't strictly news and politics - then maybe O&A are back in the game full-bore. However, the current environment isn't doing it.

As was said earlier, Stations are going more "local and cheap" for content now. Shows like O&A and R&F cost too much.

All in all I hope Sat Radio doesn't fail, not just for the Talk Radio shows I love, but for christ sake there is no good Rock Format radio out there anymore (at least in NYC).

I'm happy the CBS show is done, but have followed radio long enogh to understand its not good "business" the way things went down. I would have been much happier if it was O&A who pulled the plug on themselves.

Some of O&A's Ass. Producers are just horrible yes men. It was the same toward the end of the WNEW show though, it just seem like if you get in when they come back you have a job for the life of the show.

I am a broadcasting major it sadens me that jackasses like yourself are allowed to have jobs. Your ratings drop and you try and be like everyone else, and then when you are like everyone else you wonder why your ratings drop. It's amazing that you people are allowed to run a company, do you not realize that your watering down of what people can talk about and your refusal to play deep tracks, is what is killing your ratings. WHY THE FUCK WOULD I WANT TO LISTEN TO YOUR STATION AND HERE THE SAME 40 SONGS when i can listen to my XM and IPOD. Booting Opie and anthony has forced me to change my alarm clock radio to 104.3. I will never listen to your shitty station again becuase i can here you crappy music anywhere. Why don't you realize that the problem is not with your talent but with the fucking idiots who run this radio division. The same kind of people who have been running the stock market. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Ron and Fez but i found them through oanda. I love o and a as well and before you haters say who cares just remember who brought RandF to XM..... They were great during the wnew days but todays xm ron and fez is so much better.....Would we have it without OandA.
