On O&A they talked about these two doing a series of debates. I don't think there are two people I dislike more. Both seem to be very cocky and dismissive of others opinions. I guess thats their gimmick but I hate their style more than what they actually believe in. Do you like one more than the other? Do you follow one for political reasons? Which one do you support?

They'll argue for 2 hours and then fuck.

atleast Bill Maher is an entertainer. You give him a microphone and a stage and he will entertain an audience. I've seen him do stand-up live at Westbury Music Fair, it was great. Listening to him has another purpose than "this dudes opinion". With Ann, it's just a chick talking about politics and stuff...the only people that would give a shit about what she says are fellow conservatives.

True, and they both went to Cornell.

they are on different sides of the political spectrum, but either one of them (well, i haven't seen Miller do standup in forever, but at one point in his career) can be given a microphone and entertain a theater full of audience members. They both have 30+ years of stand up experience and has successfully entertained all different types of audiences their whole career

who put ann coulter in front of 30 people and 15 of them would be like "fuck this lady, i'm leaving"

I've always perceived Ann Coulter as a tongue in cheek type who's more interested in getting a rise out of people and generating controversy than she is advancing any political agenda. I could be wrong, but it seems like a work.

Maher is a smarmy SOB and I really don't find him funny or entertaining in any way.

That being said, I have no interest in listening to either one of them.

I always thought it was "swarmy", but looking it up, it appears I've been wrong. You've taught me something tonight, Gregory.

Bill maher is not an entertainer, anyone who has seen this will agree:

Go see Religulous. He's not dismissive of those who firmly believe what they believe in. He's dismissive of hypocrites.

I don't like Coulter because I find her to be intellectually bankrupt and a blowhard who says outlandish things (like her comments about the 9/11 wives) just to get rises out of people.

I always kinda "got" her 9-11 comment.
The point was somewhat valid, but the way she worded it was obviously done to get a rise out of people.

I don't know why anyone would want to see a comedian and a person who just says outlandish things to be famous debate. I kinda like Maher's HBO show, just because I like the format. I'm not so interested in his monologues,

Apparently they used to date.

I remember on Bill's last episode on ABC they brushed aside rumors that they dated (or were dating), but it came across as half-hearted.

EDIT: Looking at his profile on whosdatedwho.com, he's dated some pretty impressive women, including Thora Birch and the chick from the episode of Lost where Jack was in Thailand.

well, as convincing as that red x is, he is a professional stand up comedian and he does have hours and hours of material that have nothing to do with politics. As i said before, you can put him in a theater in front of an audience who doesn't know who he is and he can put on a show for them. Ann Coulter can't..can you imagine anyone getting any type of entertainment value from seeing her that didn't agree with her?

Which is ironic because Dennis Miller has become a dumbed-down version of himself.

Yup, and I didn't really like him (agreed on the "smarmy" comment) until I saw that movie.

And yeah, Ann Coulter and Bill Maher apparently used to bang.

LOL sorry there was a movie poster of house II (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093220/) there on my screen, who would have thought having william katt in your film made it better?

Which is ironic because Dennis Miller has become a dumbed-down version of himself.
Thats still at least 50 IQ points ahead of bill maher.
