With no O&A, does 92.3 need a dump guy?

A completely unemployed show may be too depressing to comprehend,

So if Jivin is unemployed as well I fully expect at minimum, biweekly shows no shorter than 2:30:00 in duration.

Perhaps this is a good thing, I fully believe that the future of talk radio is online, and current industry trends seem to support it. It would be great to get them on satellite, but at the same time I love a podcast better than my XM unit, XM is what I listen to when I run out of my weekly dose of various podcasts.

The trick will be figuring out how to market it and make money off of it.

"live reads" and other advertising on podcasts...that's the future...

It's exactly why podcasts haven't truly exploded... no one's *really* figured out how to make any money off them. Either they exist as an extension of something that is already making moeny, or they are mired in some sort of mediocrity - nothing more than a hobby. I'd be surprised if there is more than 1 guy in this country paying his rent on podcast-based income.

also, no final decisions have been made about the future of the ct & jivin show. just an fyi. and keep the voicemails coming because i am listening. we had some on-hand to use last week and they just ended up not fitting the show.

I love the listener feed back section, but that said, last week's show was FUCKING STELLAR, I loved it, CT has broken down and doesn't care anymore and Jivin is left to play the straight man, complete roll reversal, it's great.

As far as making money off podcasts, you should just go harass Ricky Gervais and see if he'll give you some pointers. I don't pay for it (thank you Pirate Bay), but I think a lot of people do. Perhaps you guys will just have to get 2 hit sitcoms before the podcast will explode to those financial levels.
