Better way to grill...gas or charcoal?

Depends on what you're looking for.

It's less of an art form to grill using gas as you can control the temperature more easily and preheating doesn't involve matches. There's also less messy cleanup, as you don't have any spent ash to dispose of.

However, charcoal, for all its messiness and artfulness, delivers more flavor for the buck than gas can ... unless you use a smoker-box/smoker-pouch or plank fish on your gas grill. Then you can come close.
