Now that O&A are off 9.23 K Rock, I need to find something else to listen to. I do not have XM and did not want to have to get it. I simply cannot stand listening to Imus, so what other choice do I have? What is an alternative show to listen to in the mornings?

The thing is, I like to listen to the radio. I cant understand why a popular show like that and the whole station format change can be allowed to happen. I have been going crazy on my morning commute listening to Newsradio 88. Its torture. I do not want to subscribe or have something installed in the car. I guess I am going to have to go back to music. I just like to laugh before I get to work. Im so bummed. First Ron and Fez and now this. Bullshit!

See I have the same problem when I take my girls car into work some nights. Since they were cancelled I just defaulted to Imus, but its not what it used to be either.

I can't stand Sports talk for more then 2 minutes: "Bah, Bah da Yankees and da Mets and da Jets stinks and da yeah, Joey Bags coming up wit da highlights of da lowlites wit some more A-Rod talk and da Be right back afta deez Beer advertisements to da talk more a'bout da Yanks and da Knicks."

Call me lazy but spending part of my night Downloading Sows for my iPod every night takes time away from cranking. And you have to do it EVERY night, god forbid I wanna pass out after a bottle of wine or two...I have to have the pressure of having to download my days entertainment. Nah thats alright.

To fans of content that most find "objectional" theres no AM drive show. Most of the people in my neighborhood listen to KTU or Z100 in the AM, even the GUYS. They couldn't care less about the KRock flip or what happened to O&A. As long as Elvis and the "Zoo Crew" are around, all is right with the world.

We're in the minority these days. If we were in the majority O&A and R&F would be owning KRock and Elvis would be looking for a new slot, but this isn't 1999 anymore.

I weep for those who enjoy "The Z Morning Zoo".

i don't know the ratings, but i would guess that Scott & Todd on WPLJ and the Z Morning Zoo are probably two of the more popular morning shows, and they're god-awful! people like sh!t, apparently.

It's fucked up all the CBS Hot Talk stations are going bye bye first Chicago and Steve Dahl then LA and Adam Corolla then O&A and K Rock and rumors are flying around that WJFK is going to flip on April 1st. WJFK has a extremely solid talk lineup besides that station the only other all FM talk station I can think of is WTKS 104.1 in Orlando (Clear Channel Owned)

New York radio is shit and has been for a long time. I remember when I outgrew Z100, and they might have even changed formats about this time, around 1994 or 95. Shit for a while again, then WNEW O&A and R&F. Otherwise, shit. Now that O&A have left again (for the better this time), there is a huge gaping hole where radio used to be.

Now it's just five songs wrapped around commercials for payment plans on boob jobs.

i used to commute 150 miles round trip a day 6 days a week the price of xm is nothing, think of all the music you'll have to download.....and get a inno you can record the replays and edit out the commercials also you will find better music channels on xm then your car radio . once you have it you'll never go back to regular radio....really. :thumbup:

I was an O&A listener (for the first time in my life) while they were on KROCK in the mornings as i have an hour commute to work. I usually flipped between them and 101.9 RXP because Matt Pinfield is on air in the morning and they always play a lot fo good music very early in the AM and typically have bands come in or interviews too.

The format change of KROCK was enough to put me over the edge. With all the stations going under (they got rid of the BEST al. station in my area GROCK 106.3) or experiencing format changed i literally had NOWHERE to listen to the music "I" like.

It is really an added benefit that i can now listen to R&F and O&A and i look forward to it on my first commute tomorrow morning with XM.

I use it mostly for Stern, O&A, R&F and Ferrall the music stations have sucked since both platforms merged. I use things like last.fm , Slacker, Pandora and my iPod for music.
