After listening today, is Ron trying to screw the show by fucking up the live reads on purpose?

He's trying to make them entertaining. The sponsors apparently aren't complaining, so it seems to be fine.

ron is so great..he is so cool...i mean who else could tease the live reads...the client seems happy because its such a successful bit...
ronnie knows he has the best job ever....i am sure he would rather be doing a night time show...
but he knows how to make a buck and make us howl with laughter...

Maybe he's pissed because even though Fez is reading type, he flubs a half dozen words every single spot. For a guy who can't stand getting things wrong, he can't read for shit.

You can also tell that he sometimes pauses before poking fun at them it's possible he does this so maybe the staff can edit out parts just in case the sponsors want to hear the live reads

Ron always takes jabs at the suits and this is one way to do it. He knows it's funny so he does it.

I think the sponsors must know what to expect and look for this type of adlibbing

Ron once again proves his brilliance. He has taken live reads and made them entertaining. The sponsors have to like it. They get their product mentioned a lot more than they paid for.

Carbonite, for all your nighttime carbon needs........

I'm amazed that the sponsers are still with the show. At this point who doesn't know AshleyMadison and Carbonite word for word. I've heard those spots at least 50 times a piece and never thought to go to the websites.

To be honest, I would just fast forward them on the inno, or cut them out in Adobe Soundooth, but they're so damn funny to listen too. So in my opinion I think it's money well spent on the advertisers part because I chop out all of Opie and Anthony's live reads.

Holy shit. This page is nothing but a bunch of brown nosing fucks.

Ron is so great! He is so awesome! He makes me laugh even at something like sudden infant death syndrome. His jokes in the middle of the AIDS research live reads had me in stitches.

Maybe he is doing it on purpose in an effort to get the sponsors to drop them so his fucking partner doesn't get to rely so heavily on them for mic time.

Oh wait, I just said that Ron did something perfectly calculated that only a man of his genius could do.

Drop it.

I think the reads are effective . I mean , I personally have heard the carbonite ads dozens of times and am intrigued by a product that locks away carbon ,halting global warming , and protecting the earth for the future reign of "super-kids".
Plus , I had my tiered pierced the other day , without live reads I wouldn't have even thought it possible .

Yeah he obviously has no idea what he's doing. I mean he's completely screwing the advertisers’. They want their commercials to be boring and forgettable. Not discussed on web boards time and again and even downloaded to be heard over and over. They must be furious! :wallbash:

Not at all. No sponsor has canceled yet. The sponsors want people to remember their products and you cannot honestly say that you forget what companies get live reads on the shows.

I've lost 90 pounds on Carbonite and made over 4 million dollars. I applied it directly to the forehead and it cured my migraine, joint pain, allergies, chronic depression, nicotine addiction, and ED. It was 15x more absorbent than a paper towel AND reusable, and chopped vegetables and nuts faster than the imitators.

It delivered exactly as Ron promised and I couldn't be happier.

the hardest job of advertising-- and the point of the live read in the first place-- is to get people to stay by their radio and listen to the ad. obviously not everyone who listens is going to buy the product but you have a much better chance if people listen to the ad in the first place, and remember the product name.

not only do i listen to the rf live reads, but i would save them if i knew how. i still have lots of the old i-57 ads on my itunes. my favorites are the carbonite ones but i think they're all hysterical.

Live Reads Rule.

I've already re-listened to today's end of the show Carbonite ad with Ron mimicking Fez. Hilarious.

I could care less about the products(Don't overuse credit cards, don't care about my old ass computer or it's crummy files, and don't have time to cheat on my wife), I just enjoy getting a big chuckle from an otherwise annoying commercial.

I started a thread a few months ago when they started doing live reads again I posted a bunch of them then stopped. I have the shows to go through but honestly I'm so behind that there is a 99% chance I'm not going to go through the shows to pull the rest of the live reads, but I'm willing to share the shows with some of the unposted live reads if any of you want to cut them up and post them. Just hit me up with a PM if your interested

Here is the Thread

The live reads are starting to be really funny and becoming a bit unto their own, but they still stop the momentum of their conversations.
