Blowhard Appreciation Thread

I was looking to see if there was a The Blowhard appreciation thread, and all I came across was "calling out blowhard" or "blowhard is mentally unstable" and even "blowhard the nazi." Enough already people! This man is an invaluable treasure to the R&F community.

Blowhard, I hope your passion and enthusiasm for the 70's never wains. While I have heard you disparage some modern things that I enjoy, I definitely am fascinated with many things that fall under the "old school" umbrella. I think it's better to be stuck in the past than stuck in the present with no knowledge or appreciation of the past.

In short, Blowhard is the whimsical old uncle that we all wish we had.

Thanks pal. And by the way, I'm not elderly, and the reason I remember the old days is because I have an incredible memory. Sure, I miss polyester leisure suits, music on vinyl and zubaz, but who doesn't?

great call on Friday Blowhard. I think you brought up a great point that there are people who are resisting all this government restriction and finding a way around it. I never really though about, but I'm sure back when my folks were in college very few people if any was buying black market cigarettes. Now its a fairly common occurence. And even with the New York smoking ban, there are a lot of bars that still let people smoke after a certain time or if there are only a couple of patrons left. And some places are willing to take the fines because its worth it to them to let smokers smoke. Its important to remember that no matter how much the government pushes us, we can still push back, and there are still plenty of people who do just that.
